BIOGRAPHY
I am a homemaker and mother of 6, born and raised in Wheeling, West Virginia. I have had art schooling at Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy, Wheeling Jesuit University, and Chatham College in Pittsburgh. I took up art again after raising my family 5 years ago. My works are displayed in hundreds of homes. I have also illustrated four locally published books.
I won the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Poster Contest for Constitution Week, in September, 2008. My entry won the state, region and tied for first place on the national level. Copies were made and are being sold to raise money for the NSDAR.
In September of 2005, I won first place in the Everyman's Exhibit held at the Oglebay Institute Stifel Center.
In October of 2005, I won first place in the drawing category of the The 63rd Annual Waterford Homes Tour & Crafts Exhibit.
I was featured in a show at Ohio University Eastern in February of 2005. This show featured another local Revolutionary War artist, Terry McCoid. The focus of all works in this particular show was the American Revolutionary War.
In 2003, I was asked to join a select group of "Noted Woman Artists of West Virginia," at Charleston University.
Also in 2003, three of my murals depicting events at the Siege of Fort Henry were installed in the Fort Henry Room of Wilson Lodge, a resort at Oglebay Park in Wheeling, West Virginia.
